Today we drove home after a wonderful 2 weeks at Rollins Pond. On the way our route took us through Oswego so we stopped in for a moment and said Hi to Maddie.
Our friend Otto introduced us to a new word: Coddiwomple: (v) To travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination. :) it works for us!

2025 Rollins Pond trip site 47 (Day 13 ~ 8/15/25)
The day started fairly chilly with the water being very warm, a beautiful fog covered the pond.
After our hike we went back to Jay and spent the afternoon in the wonderful East Branch of the Ausable river.
We hiked out to the Cobble Lookout, it was cool having a mountain view without the mountain hike!

2025 Rollins Pond trip site 47 (Day 12 ~ 8/14/25)
Captured this view of the Milkey way from near our campsite.
We paddled out to Square pond from our campsite. The water in the passage between Rollins and Floodwood was quite low so we had to walk through this year.

2025 Rollins Pond trip site 47 (Day 10 ~ 8/12/25)
Prior to the trip I suggested to the group we rent a pontoon boat on the Upper Saranac Lake. 9 of us rented the boat and had a wonderful day on the lake. We stopped twice to swim. What a beautiful lake! Amazing properties along the shoreline.

Ethan climbed Whiteface. We took the road :)
While Ethan was hiking we went over to Jay to spend some time in the East Branch of the Ausable River.
Irene was concerned about Ethan hiking alone but he did just fine.
