Happy Birthday to me! Irene gave me a wonderful birthday card and our plan for the day is Cirque show at Disney Springs along with dinner after at the House of Blues.

A very nice weather day here at Lake Louisa. A big work day for me and laundry for Irene. I went for a run and got a little lost so almost missed sunset.

Today we moved from Santos Trailhead to Lake Louisa. First thing we had the transmission serviced at the Ram dealer in Ocala, Phillips.

We made mushroom risotto, something about the parm cheese didn't come out right so it was not our best version of this risotto.

Irene made a wonderful salad using her dressing and a fruit based salad mix from Publics.

We spent the afternoon with Gloria and Kent at their home in Dunnellon Florida, a very nice neighborhood and right along the river for plenty of kayaking opportunities.

About 45 minutes west of where we are staying is Rainbow Spring State Park. We spent the day there hiking and taking in the views of the springs and the various waterfalls that were created in the 60's when it was an attraction park.

We spent the day at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park with Jesse, Kelly, Julia, Gary and Peggy. It was a great time seeing all sorts of wildlife and learning more about Manatees.

We made pasta and peas for dinner, we added chopped olives this time which was a good add.

The weather is cold so we decided to go to lunch after Publix yesterday. Great place in Ocala, The Flying Boat Tap room.

The weather is cold and it rained most of the afternoon so we slept a lot :)

Kayaking on at Kings Landing, was really fun and beautiful. Quite tough to go up stream against the current.

 

Florida 2025 - Clearwater Recreation site 9 - Day 34 (Feb 17 2025)

While out for a run around Clearwater lake I got tripped by a vine and was suddenly and painfully on my face. Cut my face as seen here, my knees and left upper chest bruised. Nothing to my arms which clearly didn't have time to get involved.
