Florida 2026 - Day 16 Lake Louisa site 25 (1/31/26)

The day started warm around 58 degrees and humid quite ok. Susan picked us up and we met Doug and Michelle at the Salt Shack and had a great lunch. As the day progressed the wind increased and the temperature decreased. Over the day the temp dropped around 30 degrees so we stayed in, napped, read ad played Cribbage.

Florida 2026 - Day 13 Lake Louisa site 25 (1/28/26)

A pair of red shouldered hawks. From our walk around lake Hammond. We met a delightful couple, Elizabeth and Peter from Switzerland. We went over to their RV in the evening and had a very nice conversation. She is in the throws of a disc herniation as well so we commiserated.

Florida 2026 - Day 12 Lake Louisa site 25 (1/27/26)

A chilly day at Lake Louisa. We played some Cribbage I got my butt kicked per usual. Visited Clermont to pick up a package right near the Citrus tower. There used to be 17 million orange trees visible from the tower. Irene picked up some knitting supplies.

Florida 2026 - Day 7 Blue Springs site 35 (1/22/26)

Mamma and baby together

During the late morning early afternoon we played Cribbage and I lost both games :) After lunch we went into town and played some pickleball (well at this point we are just batting the ball around). Irene had a call with friends so I batted the ball around with a guy who was at the courts by himself. I just wish my leg was 100% it is doing better but not perfect so I had to let some go by. Then I cooked some orzo for dinner.

Florida 2026 - Day 5 Blue Springs site 35 (1/20/26)

We went into DeLand and did a little grocery shopping then broke out the Pickleball paddles and had a productive time on the court. My right leg is still not to be fully trusted so I was not fully on my game.
