Rollins Pond 243 - (Day 14 - August 13, 2023)

Packed up early and hit the road around 10. Got home mid afternoon. Took the route past Long Lake, Blue Mt Lake and Old Forge. Beautiful.

There was music in Saranac lake at the park on the lake and this 'little' lady was waiting to cross the street.

 

Rollins Pond 243 - (Day 9 - August 8, 2023)

It was a seriously rainy day and I had a bunch of work to accomplish so I spent the day in the van working via Starlink. In the evening we played another Tarot game.

 

Rollins Pond 243 - (Day 8 - August 7, 2023)

It was supposed to rain all day so I worked with the help of Starlink. In the afternoon I drove in to Tupper Lake and worked there, ending up gathering a bunch of solar as the sun made an appearance. 

I taught Cheri, Brian and Joan how to play Tarot, it was enjoyed. It started raining around 9 so I went to bed.

 

Rollins Pond 243 - (Day 7 - August 6, 2023)

Joe and Brian left way too early in the morning to climb rooster comb and I decided to climb Floodwood Mt. It was a great hike and wonderful views.

Set up the Starlink so I could work on Monday due to rain.

 

Rollins Pond 243 - (Day 6 - August 5, 2023)

Today was a kayaking day, Joe Brian and I did nearly 8 miles. It is a spectacular day light wind, wonderful skies. The end of the day I was pooped. We paddled out to Floodwood then on to Little Square pond and a little way toward Fish Creek.

 

Rollins Pond 243 - (Day 5 - August 4, 2023)

Sadly Irene, Louise and Kathy departed today. I am on my own until a week from Sunday. After they left I went in to town to work. Later in the day it rained like it was the end of the earth.

 

Rollins Pond 243 - (Day 4 - August 3, 2023)

Spent some time in Saranac Lake and re-visited the TB Labratory. Had lunch in town. 

 

Rollins Pond 243 - (Day 3 - August 2, 2023)

Stuck around camp and assembled the kayaks and did some short paddles. I set up the Kayaks with the other color tip and tale.

 

Rollins Pond 243 - (Day 2 - August 1, 2023)

Spent the morning in Lake Placid and had lunch at the Lake Placid pub and brewery.

We drove around the area after lunch then had ice cream at Donnely's where we ran into our friend Tyler and his wife Kate and 4 month old daughter Pheobe. She had just bagged her 7th peak in her short 4 months of life :)
