Florida 2022 Day 41: February 22, 2022
Woke up at the Little Manatee River state park and packed up. We did a hike on the other side of the river from the camp ground. Then drove on to Highlands Hammock to meet up with Laura and Roland.
Just before we got to Highlands Hammock we encountered large group of people on horse back which slowed us down for a few minutes as we slowly moved past them.
Arrived a little after noon at Highland Hammocks SP and found Laura and Roland in the campsite and had a little lunch. Checked in and got our bikes off the van. We rode around the loop with Laura and Roland and did the Cypress Swamp trail (sadly no alligator today) also hiked the orange grove trail and saw no oranges!

Florida 2022 Day 40: February 21, 2022
Drove from Gary and Peg's to Little Manatee River SP, got set up and wandered around the park on a trail that goes along the river and then back through the center of the park. Grilled steaks for dinner :)

Florida 2022 Day 35: February 16, 2022
Today we traveled from Tomoka River state part to Highlands Hammock in south central Florida. We picked up our contact cards from Staples, got gas for the first time at Buc-ee's, and got a portable camp table at Harbor Freight in Sanford.
Stopped in Sanford Florida for lunch at the Sanford Brewing Company, great spot.
Arrived late in the day a little after 5pm and went for a hike arriving back to the site after dark. During our hike we saw an armadillo foraging for food, really cute.
