 Drove from Columbus Ohio home, arrived around 5pm.

Thankfully we got home before this happened :)

After spending the morning with Anne and Carl. Reviewing the winterization process for their Van we drove the 1.5 hours to Cathy and Lonny's. They showed us around their farm and family compound. We had a nice dinner of chicken pot pie and then a couple of card games.

We had a long drive from Ellis KS to my sister and brother in laws house. Carl surprised us with wonderful ribs he did on the smoker.

With regret we left our amazing spot in Valley of the Gods and Irene drove out the dirt road so I could capture our van via drone. She did great and drove to Blanding Utah. We did our laundry in a great Laundromat in Blanding called One Stop. We then drove on to Moab and ended our day at the Drinks Canyon BLM campground on the Colorado river on route 128 east of Moab.

 

Morro Bay 2025 Meetup - Day 35 (11-01-25) - Valley of the Gods - BLM

As we drove into Valley of the Gods last night we saw a great spot that was already taken. We took a chance this morning to see if it was vacant and it was so we got a wonderful spot for our second night. The first shot here is a moon lite one that came out very nice with my iPhone. We relaxed the day, ate our berry pie from the Gifford house for breakfast. Went for a hike in the afternoon and just took in the views, read and relaxed.
