Florida 2025 - Heading to NERV - Day 62 (Mar 17 2025)

We spent the day in the waiting room of NERV as Amelia spent the day in the Spa. She had her under hood generator, AGM Battery and 300 AMP breaker replaced. Had a number of rusty spots painted as well as the propane tank. There were also some cracks in the rivnuts for the front battery, they welded a plate on to make it secure. We met some great people while we waited Margi and Chuck. They were getting their back lounge turned into a bed.

We drove right past Karen Rossasco's home so we stopped in and spent some special time with her. What a delightful human.

Spent the night at the Santee, SC cracker barrel.

Florida 2025 - Jonathan Dickinson site 118 - Day 59 (Mar 14 2025)

Our last evening in the park we ran into Danielle and went for a walk with her to see more Scrub Jays.

We took a boat ride up to Trapper Nelson's place on the river that flows by Jonathan Dickinson SP. The captain of the boat was not really into his job.

We got up in the middle of the night to see the lunar eclipse.

 

Florida 2025 - Jonathan Dickinson site 118 - Day 58 (Mar 13 2025)

We spent part of the day sitting by the river on this wonderful day. Late in the day we went on a search for the Florida Scrub Jay and boy were we blessed with tons of sitings. The shot above was from Irene's phone they were so close and playful.

We got up at 1:15 and 2:15 to see the lunar eclipse.

 

Florida 2025 - Jonathan Dickinson site 118 - Day 57 (Mar 12 2025)

So today was an eventful day as you can see from the photo above. I was sitting under the awning outside the van on a call for work when he went by me from under the van about a foot away. He then continued without being the least concerned about me across the sidewalk and under the brush across the way. Yikes that was startling.

We also discovered that not only was our under hood generator not working neither was the inverter. We may have to bail and head to North East RV sooner than we had anticipated.

 

Florida 2025 - Jonathan Dickinson site 118 - Day 56 (Mar 11 2025)

It was a travel day today we moved from Lake Louisa to Jonathan Dickinson just would the Port St Lucie. The weather was beautiful and the new state park is spectacular. At the opening of the day I took some sunrise photos before we started to prepare to leave.

The moon is approaching full.

Seems there are some no see-ums at the new site, the fan helps along with the thermocell.

 

Florida 2025 - Lake Louisa site 22 - Day 55 (Mar 10 2025)

The day was turbulent weather wise it started sprinkling early and then a down right down pour. By mid afternoon it was much nicer. We took a walk around Dixie lake.
